♥ BELIEVE ♥

Music: Sir Elton John
Lyrics: Bernie Taupin

I believe in love, it's all we got
Love has no boundaries, costs nothing to touch
War makes money, cancer sleeps
Curled up in my father and that means something to me
Churches and dictators, politics and papers
Everything crumbles sooner or later
But love, I believe in love

I believe in love, it's all we got
Love has no boundaries, no borders to cross
Love is simple, hate breeds
Those who think difference is the child of disease
Father and son make love and guns
Families together kill someone
Without love, I believe in love

Without love I wouldn't believe
In anything that lives and breathes
Without love I'd have no anger
I wouldn't believe in the right to stand here
Without love I wouldn't believe
I couldn't believe in you
And I wouldn't believe in me
Without love

I believe in love
I believe in love
I believe in love

Yahoo! News ID: Indonesian forestry minister willing if replaced - Menteri Kehutanan Pasrah Jika Diganti

Laporan Wartawan Tribunnews.com Hasanuddin Aco

TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTA - Menteri Kehutanan (Menhut) Zulkifli Hasan mengaku pasrah jika akhirnya dia di-reshuffle (dirombak) dari anggota Kabinet Indonesia Bersatu (KIB) II.

"Itu reshuffle bagian prerogatif Presiden kita (menteri) bagian bekerja saja," kata Zulkifil pada Konferensi Internasional "All Futures to Meet Demands for Food, Fibre, Fuel" di Hotel Shangri-La Jakarta, Selasa (27/9/2011).

*  *  *
Tragis!.
*  *  *

Jambu Air Thailand & Jambu Batu Taiwan (made in Indonesia) *Facts

Jambu Air Thailand (made in Indonesia)
Jambu Air Thailand sebenarnya memiliki nama asli jambu air Citra. Ditemukan oleh Dr. Ir. Moh.

*   *   *

Setelah saya makan memang enak, bentuknya bulat berukuran sedang, kulitnya tipis berwarna hijau muda, dagingnya empuk tebal berwarna putih (apabila disimpan di kulkas selama 1 hari rasa dagingnya hampir sama seperti buah Gold Pir), bijinya hanya berdiameter 1 - 1.5 Cm. Harganya IDR 27.500/Kg.

Selamat untuk IPB & para penemu jambu-jambu raksasa made in Indonesia!.

Big damage in Papua New Guinea, Indonesia (new film documents how industrial logging destroys lives)

Jeremy Hance * mongabay.com * August 29, 2011

Douglas cutting tree, Papua New Guinea. Photo by David Fedele
In one scene a young man, perhaps not long ago a boy, named Douglas stands shirtless and in shorts as he runs a chainsaw into a massive tropical tree. Prior to this we have already heard from an official how employees operating chainsaws must have a bevy of protective equipment as well as training, but in Papua New Guinea these are just words. The reality is this: Douglas straining to pull the chainsaw out of the tree as it begins to fall while his fellow employees flee the tumbling giant.

The new film Bikpela Bagarap ('Big Damage') documents the impact of industrial logging on the lives of local people in Papua New Guinea. Filmed over three months by one guerrilla filmmaker—David Fedele—using a simple handheld camera, the movie shows with startling intimacy how massive corporations, greedy government, and consumption abroad have conspired to ruin lives in places like Vanimo, Papua New Guinea.

"The whole industry is corrupt from the highest level downwards. The entire system is broken, and people have no other choice than to participate in this system—it is basically an unregulated industry," Fedele told mongabay.com in a recent interview.

The corruption starts at the beginning, when tribal groups sign over land for logging without being able to read the documents they are signing while being told little more than sign this and we'll pay you.

"The local landowners have no idea about the value of their trees—so when a company comes in and offers them a little bit of money, or even offers to pay them with other things such as water tanks or roads or houses, most of the time they just jump at the offer and sign whatever is put in front of them," Fedele says.

Then what the locals call 'The Company'—in this case a corporation known as WTK Realty—takes over the community. While the forest is destroyed, Fedele says the logging company takes advantage of locals by paying them pittance for their work while making sure they run all the businesses in town.

"[The company] owns the only supermarket, the hotel, the gaming machines and control the fuel and shipping. Local people are treated like slaves in their own country, made to work long hours for little money. [...] So people try to get money in whatever way that they can. Violent crime is a huge and increasing problem, particularly related to alcohol and marijuana. Prostitution is a big problem, and AIDS is an issue that not many people are aware of, but is increasing at a great rate."

As societal ills expand, the natural resources, on which the locals have depended for centuries, are destroyed for raw logs to be shipped to China and then processed, likely into furniture.

"I wouldn’t say having natural resources is a curse in itself—it's the exploitation and greed of the modern world that is the curse," Fedele says.

Bikpela Bagarap can be watched in two versions free online. The first is 'more cinematic' and runs 47 minutes, while the second is 'more journalistic', running nearly 24 minutes. Fedele urges people to sit-down and watch: "If you are interested in the world that you live in, and care about the environment and the welfare of your fellow human beings, watch this film to see how we are creating an unsustainable future through corruption and greed, and destroying the culture and lives of indigenous communities in the process."

In an August 2011 interview David Fedele discusses his documentary Bikpela Bagarap, including the systemic corruption in forestry in Papua New Guinea, the impact on communities, and possible solutions.

Exotica Kota Sorong, West Papua-Indonesia

Pulau Kafiau                                   Snorkling
Pantai Kasuari/ white sand beach      Snorkling
Pulau Buaya (pantai pasir kuning)     Fishing
Pulau Matan                                  Fishing
Mata Air Panas Klaijili (makbon)     Geyser/ watering place

Custo Dalmau - 3D High Tech Fashion Garment

Spanish designer Custo Dalmau went 3-D in his new fashion line, 'Tripolar', an eclectic spring-summer collection that made its premier at New York Fashion Week

For Spring, Custo Dalmau played with shifting holograms, creating 3-D prints on garments that, when sold, will come with their very own pair of high-tech 3-D specs.

Over 30 years, Dalmau has carved himself a niche and done what he intended: created a contemporary language all his own.

There wasn't a solid color in sight. Illuminated by the light of a thousand camera phones (give or take) wielded by exuberant audience members, Custo Barcelona's print-on-print-on-multicolored-feathers party mix came stomping down the runway on shoes that matched.

Layers of overgrown knits dangling hairy appendages were married to quilted silk mini dresses — in some of their gone-to-seed extravagance, they almost resembled a maxi take on old Rodarte (not that you can really compare this to what the Mulleavy sisters do, of course).

For men, the engorged knits — Dalmau called them "three-dimensional" — took the form of bulky sweaters, which, off the runway and on the rack, could have a punky afterlife.

How to have 'healthy' fun while stuck at Party in the Club?

Some people crazy about hanging out at the party, some people have never been to a club for once. Some people think it’s fun to always hanging out in a club, but some found it just might useless thing to do. But there are times when u can say no to some party invitations. Here examples to “enjoy” the night out:

Do dancing or (at least) standing. Dance it’s not different with sport. If jogging can burns 100 calories in 10 minutes and slow dancing can burns 70 – 80 calories in 10 minutes.  Now u can imagine how many calories burns for jumping & fun dancing on the dance floor?.

If u prefer sitting instead of standing, u can talk over the mobile phone while sitting because it burns the same number of calories as working on a computer, with an average of 102 calories per hour burned (not bad, huh).

Laughing. Beside relief emotional stress, researchers at Vanderbilt University found adults burns around 1.3 calories per minute while laughing with their friends. 100 laughs are equal to the same calories burns in 10 minutes jogging.

Drink Water, avoid the alcohol. Water is always be the best drink for sport activity because it’s a natural choice for hydration, as we needed for dance activity. While we’re busy dancing - the body need to stays hydrated, if u taking alcohol it just ruin the night. So ladies keep consuming water while we’re on fire, please.

Do not Eat. No further explaination. Trust me, u’re not in a restaurat. Just don’t ;).

U.S.A where I put my heart

I wrote this because I miss States.

Some people hated U.S.A for reasons but it always has special spot in my heart.

Back in 2001, few months earlier before 9/11... I found my self felt comfort when I landed at huge Atlanta Int. Airport after flew off from Jakarta Soekarno Hatta Int. Airport - Taiwan Taoyuan Int. Airport - LAX Int. Airport.

Huge land with various states & each state has their own symbol that we could see the symbol on car plates.

Atlanta, Georgia : Peach is a symbol of Georgia. My sister said that it's quite confusing driving in downtown Atlanta's layers high ways (that's true when it compares to Jakarta's high ways). Atlanta is lovely with some old style office buildings & cinema, some people said it's quite a bit like New York. Atlanta surely has lovely dining restaurants.

Hilton Head, South Carolina : Palmetto is a symbol of South Carolina. Hilton Head is kind of special barrier island in S.C. There's a harbour town where we could enter by paying at the entrance, we could stay inside in period time (I forgot around what time, guess it's around 10am - 3pm). I've heard there are Tennis Tournament, PGA Golf Tournament or Celebrity Golf Tournament been held sometimes. What I like the most is the marina where the birds flying or standing closely with human, there's parking boats, the cafes, dining place, ice cream & shops just in one area (*see the pic - enlarge). Here to check about Hilton Head wikipedia.org/Hilton Head
me - hilton head, south carolina

Florida : Orange is a symbol of this state. Florida is very fascinating! I loved it. My favorite spots are; Miami, Daytona Beach & West Palm Beach.
* Miami has beautiful skyline & wonderful boats scene. The beach area reminds me of Kuta Beach area (small version). My favorite spot is in front of Hard Rock Cafe Miami (*see the pic - enlarge).
* Daytona Beach is awesome! beside watch the car racing in Daytona Stadium, everywhere we could found Harley Davidson riders riding their bikes on the road or they're just hanging out at the cafes.
* West Palm Beach..  Petite version of Beverly Hills. 1st class beaches they have. Perfect blue water. Perfect place to stay when I grow old (I wish). They have private jet charter, science museum, zoo park, fishing area, etc. I really like the 'high class' shops on the avenues where you could find anything, even you could find plastic surgery & boob job doctor just around the corner (only by reading their brochure you could find out how much the cost of surgery).
* Key Largo & Key West. My first aim was Key West, but I've had only reached the Key Largo at the end (Marriott Hotel). It's a really long way from down town Miami to Key Largo and it's just a half way to Key West. But it was worth to watched the sunset in Key Largo.
me - miami, florida

Houston, Texas : "dry town" I said to my self by the time got to this town. What interesting was I found a beautiful 'forest' park in center of down town where there's so many people jogging trail around at 4-5pm, I really enjoyed that scene. I think it's a Memorial Park (I forgot).

Another interesting things are; if in Europe we have to wear proper shoes to go dining in restaurant, in States we can go dining with sneakers on :). And we could travel by car from state to state, train or flight no need. I miss it..
