Jambu Air Thailand & Jambu Batu Taiwan (made in Indonesia) *Facts

Jambu Air (Syzygium samarangense) sebenarnya adalah salah satu buah tropis yang merupakan tanaman asli dari Indonesia, kemudian meluas di Asia dan dibudidayakan di negara lainnya seperti Jamaika, Suriname, Kepulauan Curacao dan Bonaire.  Indonesia memiliki begitu banyak ragam dan varietas jambu air dengan berbagai warna mulai putih, hijau, merah muda, merah , hingga merah kecokelatan.  Rasanyapun  bervariasi ada yang asam, manis segar dan manis.

Jambu Air Thailand sebenarnya memiliki nama asli jambu air Citra. Ditemukan oleh Dr. Ir. Moh. Reza Tirtawinata (salah satu staf ahli di Taman Wisata Mekarsari, Bogor) pada tahun 1990 di Anyer, Banten.  Varietas ini telah dilepas sebagai buah unggul nasional dan merupakan varietas jambu air yang paling unggul dibandingkan jenis jambu air lainnya.  Keunggulannya terletak pada sosok buahnya yang besar menyerupai lonceng dan bisa mencapai bobot 250 g per buah, dengan warna kulit buah merah mengkilap.  Daging buah tebal, empuk, rasa manis (12 – 15 ^o Brix) dan tanpa biji.  Jambu ini dibawa ke Thailand pada tahun 1997 dan mulai dibudidayakan secara luas. Mereka menyebutnya dengan nama Thong Sam Sie yang artinya emas tiga warna.  Sampai sekarang varietas inilah yang menjadi varietas terunggul di sana.  Kini Jambu air citra juga telah banyak dikebunkan di negara lainnya seperti Taiwan, Vietnam, Malaysia dan tentunya juga   Indonesia. 

Jika kita cermati dengan kemampuannya 2-3 kali panen per tahun dan jumlah panenan  15 – 25 kg per pohon, maka bertanam jambu air citra skala kecilpun cukup menjanjikan hasil, tanpa perlu menanam berpuluh-puluh pohon di lahan yang luas.  http://bdp25ipb.sitekno.com/article/63119/jambu-air-citra

Jambu air adalah buah kegemaran saya, terus terang saya sanggup menghabiskan berkilo-kilo jambu air dalam satu hari.

Jambu Air atau Jambu Batu 'dengan embel-embel Bangkok' pada kenyataannya adalah hasil pengembangan varietas para Insinyur Pertanian Indonesia dan belum banyak konsumen buah Indonesia yang mengetahuinya. Hebat! ini yang patut kita syukuri sebagai bangsa Indonesia.

Belakangan ini saya juga mengkonsumsi Jambu Batu Taiwan yang berstiker 'ICDF hasil kerjasama IPB - Misi Teknik Taiwan' (satu lagi varietas yang ditemukan oleh anak-anak bangsa). Tertarik membeli karena ingin tau perbedaan dari jenis Jambu Batu lainnya. Setelah saya makan memang enak, bentuknya bulat berukuran sedang, kulitnya tipis berwarna hijau muda, dagingnya empuk tebal berwarna putih (apabila disimpan di kulkas selama 1 hari rasa dagingnya hampir sama seperti buah Gold Pir), bijinya hanya berdiameter 1 - 1.5 Cm. Harganya IDR 27.500/Kg. Namun sayangnya saat di-googling saya tidak bisa mendapatkan info lebih jauh tentang Jambu Batu Taiwan ini.

Custo Dalmau - 3D High Tech Fashion Garment

Spanish designer Custo Dalmau went 3-D in his new fashion line, 'Tripolar', an eclectic spring-summer collection that made its premier at New York Fashion Week. 

For Spring, Custo Dalmau played with shifting holograms, creating 3-D prints on garments that, when sold, will come with their very own pair of high-tech 3-D specs.

Over 30 years, Dalmau has carved himself a niche and done what he intended: created a contemporary language all his own.

There wasn't a solid color in sight. Illuminated by the light of a thousand camera phones (give or take) wielded by exuberant audience members, Custo Barcelona's print-on-print-on-multicolored-feathers party mix came stomping down the runway on shoes that matched. 

Layers of overgrown knits dangling hairy appendages were married to quilted silk mini dresses — in some of their gone-to-seed extravagance, they almost resembled a maxi take on old Rodarte (not that you can really compare this to what the Mulleavy sisters do, of course).

For men, the engorged knits — Dalmau called them "three-dimensional" — took the form of bulky sweaters, which, off the runway and on the rack, could have a punky afterlife.

Gerakan 1 Hari Tanpa HP di Indonesia

*Pertanyaan Pertama; 

Berapakah jumlah orang di Indonesia dalam 1 hari yang pernah kecewa karena:

• SMS ga delivered? 
• Blackberry Messenger nge-hang? 
• Ga bisa update status penting / ga penting?
• Seharian HP ga ada sinyal?
• Dst, dst...

Apakah dari sekian kekecewaan itu ada solusi yang memuaskan 100%??. 

Menurut survey dari orang2 disekeliling gue, jawabannya adalah TIDAK, entah itu karena kita lupa atau justru malah ogah buat mencari tau penyebabnya atau karena sudah punya gambaran "bakal mentah kalo mo komplain/ nelpon nanya2 ke Customer Service, ngabisin pulsa pula..".

Seperti hal nya gerakan 1 hari tanpa kendaraan bermotor ; Alangkah baiknya apabila ada gerakan 1 hari tanpa Handphone (HP) di Indonesia sebagai wadah "rekoleksi" providers sekaligus upaya bargain para customer atas ketidaknyamanan moment pelayanan penyedia-penyedia layanan telephone seluler di Indonesia (providers) selama ini. 

Bisa dibayangkan berapa nominal kerugian providers "hanya" dalam hitungan 1 hari x berjuta-juta manusia Indonesia apabila hal itu sampai terjadi??. Banyak, man! (lebih dari cukup buat memperbaiki gizi anak-anak Indonesia yang kekurangan asupan gizi, nutrisi  atau membantu perekonomian keluarga-keluarga yang kurang beruntung, maupun pendidikan anak-anak putus sekolah. Apabila kontiniti setiap bulannya ada "gerakan keberuntungan kaum yang berkekurangan diatas kerugian kaum kapitalis", Insya Allah dalam jangka waktu 5-10 tahun sedikit-sedikit akan mampu mengikis kemiskinan dan kebodohan di Indonesia ; lebih banyak lagi yang "terpaksa" belajar memaknai rasa saling berbagi - khususnya pemerintah - demi keadilan sosial bagi seluruh rakyak Indonesia (sila ke 5 Pancasila)... Ujung-ujungnya ga ada yang merasa lebih kuat karena kaya atau minder karena miskin, setiap individu berani beropini tanpa takut bakal diintimidasi - mengerti hak, bertanggung jawab atas kewajiban masing-masing dan andaikan ga ada lagi yang berfikir untuk memperkaya diri sendiri secara ga adil atau sadar diri untuk berhenti korupsi). Andai...*ngelantur.

Apakah kita sebagai customers sanggup menjalankannya, berpuasa atau rekoleksi menahan nafsu dunia dalam menggunakan HP??. Satu hari ajaaaaa...tenang tanpa HP, wong manusia kerja aja ada liburnya - mosok hape ga ada?.

Atau justru enggan karena tidak terbayangkan hidup tanpa HP tercinta atau gengsi karena haree geenee ga pake bebe / hape (beli kreditan toh juga ga ada yang tau)? atau karena kita yang terlalu manja setelah sekian lama diperbudak salah satu benda sekunder ini?? (SELAMAT YA!! karena kelemahan-kelemahan manusia Indonesia inilah yang dijadikan senjata oleh para kapitalis untuk strategi mengeruk duit para homo hedonism consumer Indonesian-is). *tepuk tangan.

Diluar batere habis, pernah ga sih loe sengaja matiin hape total 1 hari?

Apakah kita akan mati apabila hidup tanpa HP??. Buat gue tentu aja jawabannya "kagak lah...gue udah ngerasain 3 minggu lebih ga pake hape bae-bae aja...mang nyawa gue disimpen di hape?!".  Yeah right.

Yuk bareng-bareng bikin 1 hari tenang tanpa HP.

The TESIS is a set of solar imaging instruments developed by the Lebedev Physical Institute of the Russian Academy of Science, and launched aboard the Russian spacecraft CORONAS-PHOTON in January 30, 2009. The main goal of the TESIS is to provide complex observations of solar active phenomena from the transition region to the inner and outer solar corona with high spatial, spectral and temporal resolution in the EUV and Soft X-ray spectral bands.


The TESIS includes five unique space instruments to observe the inner and outer solar corona from 0.2 to 4 solar radii in spectral band 290-320 A. With the advanced capabilities of its instruments, the TESIS will help better understand the physics of solar flares and high-energy phenomena and provide new data on parameters of solar plasma in the temperature range 10⁵ - 10⁷ K.


The TESIS experiment started in the deep minimun between the 23rd and the 24th cycles of solar activity and planned to continue through all the razing phase of new cycle till 2012-1013.

AGAIN..Web Traffic Virus Attacked!

These past 2 days my laptop got rapid propagation infected host. My Internet traffic was running very very very slow, the bandwidth totally dying!. 

I thought the wireless BTS was down temporary or my browsers got crashed or else wrong. So I've decided to uninstall, install few programs and updated antivirus. After scanning, detecting, checking the software certificates status and so on, so on...dang! finally this morning I've found out I've been attacked by worm-well known as SQL slammer (I remember the 1st time heard about slammer was around 2001).  I was infected with this worm via the Internet and then connected to a network via a VPN (Virtual Private Network).  The routers network processing lead my Internet bandwidth to the end of the traffic, I couldn't even loading any Beta data (90% of all vulnerable machines were infected within 10 minutes).  

Where the worm came from? Well you know, from one of the Windows 'Installer' (one of the supporting download software program that compatible with my laptop's Windows) it need to be install before setting MS antivirus updates. Reality the Setup.exe file is a 'boot-strapper' of the Msiexec.exe file that also sets an error level on return that corresponds to the Microsoft Win32 error codes. I wasn't quite sure to accomplish this, It says it must use a higher level setup launcher (not Windows Installer based) that wraps both the custom application and the stand-alone MSDE, and then opens them independent of each other.  

BUT...I've also just found out that Microsoft no longer offers support for this software program and will no longer be updated. Man..   

  

I'm glad, after my laptop got numerous collapse and crashed of routers under the burden of extremely high bombardment traffic (also removed from routing table), now it clean again. 

So, guys...here some tips : 

1. Take care your PC and Update it regular or you can setting the updates automatically (setting - control panel -  automatic updates). 

2. Check the Certificates Expiry & Authorize of any programs you download (setting via Tools - Internet Option). 

3. After download - Scan your file before you extract the file.

3. If something goes wrong with PC, just disconnect the Internet - Restart - Run the antivirus. 

4. When you find the Troubleshoot File - Uninstall them - Delete the shortcut - Scan - Restart again. 

If you have spare time (especially for you, Ladies), please learn & get to know about your own PC ; learn about the Internet codes - Threads type, how to edit the configuration, learn how to get source & read HTML, to use the Socket Layers properly, etc. So you could fix your own PC :).

Lovely Chinook CH-47

When some people being in love with Сухой (Sukhoi superjet) or Boeing Aircraft, ever since I was 9-years-old as I remember I've had already laid my eyes to two engines humanitarian airlift Chinook only. 

Chinook recently used in missions of Operation Odyssey Dawn in Libya to the Osama bin Laden raid in Pakistan. And three CH-47 Chinooks were used to cool Reactors 3 and 4 of the Fukushima Nuclear power-plant with sea water after the 9.0 earthquake in 2011.

The Chinook is a multi-mission, tandem heavy-lift transport helicopter. Its primary mission is to move troops, artillery, ammunition, fuel, water, barrier materials, supplies and equipment on the battlefield. Its secondary missions include medical evacuation, disaster relief, search and rescue, aircraft recovery, fire fighting, parachute drops, heavy construction and civil development. 

Chinook helicopters were introduced in 1962 as the CH-47 Chinook, and models A, B and C were deployed in Vietnam. As the product of a modernization program, which included refurbishing existing CH-47s, the first CH-47Ds were delivered in 1982 and were produced until 1994. A central element in the Gulf War, they continue to be the standard for the U.S. Army in the global campaign against terrorism. Since its introduction 1,179 Chinooks have been built.

The CH-47F technology improvements form the foundation for more than 30 new MH-47G Special Operations Chinooks. The MH-47G has a fully integrated digital Common Avionics Architecture System (CAAS), which permits global communications and navigation. CAAS is among the most advanced U.S Army helicopter systems, which includes forward-looking infrared (FLIR) and multimode radar for nap-of-earth and low-level flight operations in poor visibility and adverse weather. 

On June 6th 2011: Article of TIME "The Boeing MH-47G Chinook has a Fast Rope Insertion Extraction System (FRIES) for insertion of personnel and equipment, and a trio of machine guns. The Chinook has a crew of three and carries around 30 troops. And, on May 2, 2011, one ferried the body of Osama bin Laden out of Pakistan for the last time."

"Hackers Movement" (The Power Of Civilians?)

"Experience is a wonderful thing, it enables u to recognize a mistake when u make it again", that's an important message in sarcasm that Hackers actually delivered to Sony and also reminding the civilians in such alert - to open our eyes to be more careful when it comes to protect our own selves in many ways. 

Beside Alien, Ghost, Dark lords, The Bullying, The Poor, etc, there are also many nations in this Universe that people don't realized they're existence because they've been out of our sights. One of them is UNH (United Nation of Hackers).  What I want to share here is a simple info about hackers; as one of world's asset stands for the future (..before we get emotional - please look from many sides) and ask our self why? why hackers doing this - this - and this?.  

 

Back in 2001 i was part of UNH together with bunch of my friends in Jakarta, I was 25-years-old  as young naughty lady who fall 'in love' with the internet tech, at that time I just wanted to 'teaches' some people 'lessons' (included my Netherlander ex boy friend who happened to be an expert IT consultant from one of top IT company while his billionaire step mom's the owner of Europe big internet company), it's ironic.

In this world; hackers is like a rebellious kid within family, the special kid who needs attention from the parents because they're one of the kinds. They have superiority complex with lots of energy, they eager to learn more and more as becoming experts, they want to help community ; stand up for something ; having desire to change things ; make things better ; honest ; and they're determined to SHARES (that's why they've created enemies for them selves).

Hackers supposed to be positive, if hackers stayed in negative vibrations and caused very serious damaged then it's called the Crackers.

As a matter of fact hackers is already becoming as one of our social controller elements. 

So, I really expect from the hackers of 2011 and hope that they could 'leads' the government's miss managed and the capitalist to become the honestly humility humans.  Let's open our eyes-heart-mind and once again ask our selves "why?". 

What happened address to Sony wasn't just reminding but also proving that civilians are stronger than 'who aren't being called civilians' someway somehow.

find various collections of data stolen from internal Sony networks and websites, all of which we accessed easily and without the need for outside support or money. We recently broke into SonyPictures.com and compromised over 1,000,000 users' personal information, including passwords, email addresses, home addresses, dates of birth, and all Sony opt-in data associated with their accounts. Among other things, we also compromised all admin details of Sony Pictures (including passwords) along with 75,000 "music codes" and 3.5 million "music coupons". Due to a lack of resource on our part (The Lulz Boat needs additional funding!) we were unable to fully copy all of this information, however we have samples for you in our files to prove its authenticity. In theory we could have taken every last bit of information, but it would have taken several more weeks. Our goal here is not to come across as master hackers, hence what we're about to reveal: SonyPictures.com was owned by a very simple SQL injection, one of the most primitive and common vulnerabilities, as we should all know by now. From a single injection, we accessed EVERYTHING. Why do you put such faith in a company that allows itself to become open to these simple attacks? What's worse is that every bit of data we took wasn't encrypted. Sony stored over 1,000,000 passwords of its customers in plaintext, which means it's just a matter of taking it. This is disgraceful and insecure: they were asking for it. This is an embarrassment to Sony; the SQLi link is provided in our file contents, and we invite anyone with the balls to check for themselves that what we say is true. You may even want to plunder those 3.5 million coupons while you can. Included in our collection are databases from Sony BMG Belgium & Netherlands. These also contain varied assortments of Sony user and staffer information.

The annual International Symposium on Nanostructures is chaired by two Nobel Prize laureates — Professor Zh. Alferov and Professor L. Esaki, and traditionally organized by Ioffe Physical-Technical Institute of RAS and St Petersburg Academic University — Nanotechnology Research and Education Centre of the RAS (St Petersburg Academic University), which are pioneering in many directions of this impetuously developing area. The Symposium was launched in 1993 by its Co-Chairs. It was one of the first in the area, which has become one of the leading in the modern physics and technology. The forthcoming Symposium will be organized together with the Institute of Metal Physics of the Ural Branch of the RAS in Ekaterinburg. 

The 19th Symposium focuses on the newest achievements in physics, technology and applications of solid state and life nanostructures, and it aims at bringing together various scientific groups actively working in these very important directions. The Symposium scientific program will cover a wide spectrum of physical phenomena, both basic and applied, as well as the technological aspects related to nanostructures. 

The Symposium will be held from June 20 to June 25, 2011 in the picturesque outskirts of Ekaterinburg at the Lenevka sanatorium which is located in the heart of the Middle Urals, on the bank of Lenevskii Lake, 115 km from the city of Ekaterinburg, and 35 km from the city of Nizhny Tagil. The Opening plenary session will be held at the Institute of Metal Physics of the Ural Branch of the RAS in Ekaterinburg.

WHAT IS NANOSTRUCTURES?

Interest in nanotechnology is growing rapidly. Now it is possible to arrange atoms into structures that are only a few nanometers in size. A nanometer is about four atom diameters or 1 / 50 000 of a human hair. (Your fingernails grew about a nanometer while reading this.) A particularly attractive goal is the self-assembly of nanostructures, which produces large amounts of artificial materials with new properties. In order to connect nanostructures to the more familiar world of microstructures and microelectronics, one wants to to build up larger assemblies by guided self-assembly.

Some of these exotic nanostructures have made it already onto our desktops. Magnetic nanolayers exhibit the effect of "giant magnetoresistance" (GMR), which makes them currently the best material for reading heads of hard disks. Arrays of nanowires may play a crucial role in future computers: The main speed limitation will not be the switching time of a transistor, but the time that the signals travel along the wires (see J. Birnbaum and R. S. Williams, Physics Today, January 2000, p. 38).

The picture below illustrates the potential of nano-devices for data storage. On the left are images of two familiar data storage media, the CD-ROM and the DVD. On the right is a self-assembled memory at a silicon surface that is formed by depositing a small amount of gold. It looks like a CD, except that the length scale is in nanometers, not micrometers. The corresponding storage density is a million times higher. The surface formats itself into atomically-perfect stripes (red) with extra atoms on top (white). These atoms are neatly lined up at well-defined sites along the stripes, but occupy only about half of them. It is possible to use the presence of an atom to store a 1, and the absence to store a 0. The ultimate goal would be to build a data storage medium that needs only a single atom per bit. The big question is how to write and read such bits efficiently.

☞ Apakah Provider-provider Indonesia Harus 'Belajar Dari Shock Therapy' Terlebih Dahulu??

Hari ini, 26 Mei 2011, saya mengalami kendala sinyal (tahun-tahun sebelumnya mengalami berbagai kendala yang 'masih bisa' atau 'harus' dimaklumi) dari salah 1 Provider Indonesia - Indosat Matrix.

Maksud hati pengen matiin HP buat beberapa jam aja hari ini. Begitu dinyalain lagi lha kok 'SIM CARD Rejected'?.. Udah coba restart, ALT LG, benerin settingan ngikutin yg ada di forum2 tentang 'trouble sim card', sampai meng-upgrade, tapi tetep aja ga mengubah status sinyal ; -70 (normalnya 40-80).

Belakangan ini selama beberapa bulan memang telephone jarang banget yg bisa masuk dikarenakan sinyal yg ga beres, selalu ada laporan dari orang/temen2/beberapa instansi, "kok susah sih dihubungi?". Nah, sekarang saatnya saya yang laporan ke Provider Indosat Matrix melalui blog ini.

Bertahun-tahun yg terjadi adalah komplain-komplain dari para Customer Provider-provider 'jatohnya' selalu jadi 'mentah'. Karena apa? ya karena kita para Customers selalu merasa takut & 'menganggap' diri kita ga punya bargain power, salah banget!.  Kenapa takut? wong mereka para pengusaha, apapun bentuk usahanya, kalo ga ada kita-kita ya ga bisa jalan terus. *Contoh kasus Class Action (yang mentah) tahun 2009 :

Sudah saatnya para Provider di Indonesia berintrospeksi, INDOSAT, TELKOMSEL, XL, dsb. Selama ini yang bisa digembar gemborkan adalah iklan-iklan yang 'lebay', promo besar-besaran, branding kesana-sini, berlomba-lomba cari customer baru, bikin paket layanan BB berbagai macam, dsb. Mbok ya sekali-sekali kasih reward walaupun sifatnya kecil-kecilan, misalnya; Customers tidak dibebankan biaya untuk penggantian kartu (hilang, rusak, dsb), apa ruginya menggratiskan kartu seharga Rp.10.000,- (toh harga produksi chip dibawah nominal Rp.10.000,-), untuk pengaktifan-nya pun anggap aja 'good will' nya Providers. Berapa banyak sih customers yg ganti kartu perbulan? nilainya pasti ga seberapa dibandingkan produksi iklan, promo, dsb, yang bernilai milyaran rupiah.

Disini saya atas nama Customers semua Providers berusaha mengingatkan, apabila bila memang sedang terjadi trouble (apakah itu karena kesalahan internal atau bukan) alangkah baiknya apabila diinformasikan ke para Customers, kalo ga bisa lewat media silahkan melalui sms (hapus aja sms-sms berita gosip artis terbaru atau berita ga penting yang tiap hari pop up tiba-tiba di layar hape *contoh: prepaid SimpatiTelkomsel)...namun alahkah baiknya apabila para atase pemilik/share holder perusahaan turun & meminta maaf langsung (belajar dari kasus para atase Jepang yang meminta maaf melalui media atas server play station nya yang di hacked) ke masyarakat melalui media2.  Kalo bisa bikin press conference atau gathering peluncuran produk yang melibatkan media, kenapa ga bisa press conference untuk yang lainnya...yang lebih bernilai (demi menjaga hubungan simbiosis mutualisme). Atau kah memang Provider-provider Indonesia harus 'belajar dari shock theraphy' terlebih dahulu??
